Meet the Chef
Ella is a 15-year-old freshman at Stevens High School who recently chose her Career Pathway Academy that included the Culinary Arts. Her passion for cooking and baking began at the early age of 4 when she made cupcakes for her own birthday party and even made cookies laying in a hospital bed while recovering from a surgery! Since then she has watched numerous hours of the Food Network channel, attended many kids cooking classes, and has her own Kitchen Aid Mixer with several attachments as well as many other kitchen gadgets and appliances. Her favorite attachment to her mixer is the slicer, dicer, and julienne!!
Ella has an interest in choosing healthy foods and her favorite store in Rapid City is The Market. (This is where she wants to have her first job!) She has a very giving heart and has volunteered many hours, donated her birthday to Feeding South Dakota, and was recognized at their event Empty Bowls.
For this year’s birthday, she has chosen to donate to the Fork Real Community Café where she will help prepare and serve a meal to her guests.
