Moving Forward with Purpose
A Capital Campaign for fork real cafe to move into a bigger space for more people, more food, and more conversations
In 2017, we began Fork Real Community Cafe to build our community up through food and conversation. Our pay-what-you-can cafe model aims to fight hunger throughout our city while preserving the dignity and confidence people have in their sometimes tumultuous situations. Supported by a strong board of directors, dedicated employees, and fantastic volunteers–we have seen incredible growth in the last 7 years.
OPENING DOORS TO MORE POSSIBILITIES
We are excited to be moving forward with a purpose to the heart of our city in downtown Rapid City at 507 Main Street. Not only will this location be easy to access by anyone and everyone in our community to enjoy a homestyle meal in a welcoming environment regardless of their ability to pay – it will feature a commercial kitchen, training areas for employees and events, and spacious seating for conversation to thrive amongst visitors to the cafe.
How You Can Help
Help us feed dreams and create a community path for success by supporting the capital campaign! Our goal is to raise $646,500 by November 2024.

Our Mission
To Build Up Community using food and conversation.
Our Concepts
People: Anyone and everyone in the community is invited to enjoy a home- style meal in a welcoming environment regardless of their ability to pay.
Food: Enjoy nutritious food using locally grown produce in a “farm-to-table” model building a stronger community.
Conversation: Whether you’re sitting at a table for two or at a community table, food is the avenue for conversation.
